Older homes have character. Character has a to-do list.

Boulder’s housing stock is beautiful and old, and those two facts are related.

A Victorian near Mapleton Hill or a ’50s ranch in Martin Acres doesn’t fail the way a new build does. It settles. It carries three eras of wiring and four previous owners’ fixes. The right approach is diagnosis first — figure out what’s actually going on, explain it, and get your okay before anything gets opened up. That’s how Zach works by default.

We’re based in Longmont, twenty minutes up the Diagonal. Close enough for same-week repairs, far enough that we don’t charge Boulder prices out of habit.

How pricing works

Repairs are $130 an hour with a two-hour minimum — most Boulder homes have no trouble filling two hours with small stuff worth knocking out while we’re there. Renovations are quoted per project; most run between $15,000 and $50,000 depending on scope. Either way, you’ll have a written number before work starts, and it doesn’t change unless the scope does.
